agar plug diffusion method

DefinitionThis method is commonly used to study the antagonism between microorganisms. The first bacterial strain is inoculated onto agar plates in tight streaks. The bacteria will secrete molecules that diffuse in the agar medium; this medium is cut and placed on another agar plate inoculated with another microorganism.
