Accession ARO:3007175
DefinitionTP0586532 is an antibiotic potentiator that acts by inhibiting bacterial LpxC, interfering with the production of lipopolysaccharides. It has been shown to increase the effects of several antibiotics, such as meropenem, amikacin, cefepime, and tigecycline. The disruption of lipopolysaccharide synthesis is suspected to lead to increased membrane permeability.
