Definition2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that was originally isolated from a fluorescent Pseudomonas strain. DAPG is active against numerous organisms, including plants, fungi, viruses, bacteria, and nematodes, and production or increased production of DAPG has been associated with enhanced activity against plant pathogens.
