DefinitionPerchlozone is a novel thiosemicarbazone used for the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. It is similar to thiacetazone with only a different side chain attached to the thiosemicarbazone moiety. Perchlozone is a prodrug that is activated by ethA and inhibits the HadABC complex.
