Ontology CARD's Antibiotic Resistance Ontology
Accession ARO:3009186
DefinitionBoscalid is a broad spectrum fungicide that is a succinate dehydrogenase (specifically complex II in the mitochondria) inhibitor. It ultimately blocks electron transport and ATP production in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, disrupting fungal respiration and leads to cell death or halted growth.
