Candida albicans CDR1 with mutations conferring resistance to tacrolimus

Ontology CARD's Antibiotic Resistance Ontology
Accession ARO:3009437
DefinitionCDR genes encode ABC efflux pumps that, when over expressed, confer resistance to antifungal compounds. Tacrolimus is a calcineurin inhibitor that interferes with stress-response and survival pathways. If tacrolimus is excessively pumped out of the cell, the drugs efficacy is lowered.
