NfxB

Accession ARO:3000820
DefinitionNfxB is a repressor of the efflux pump mexCD-oprJ and itself (NfxB binds upstream of the nfxB gene and negatively regulates its own expression). Increased expression of MexCD–OprJ brought about by mutations in NfxB.
AMR Gene Familyresistance-nodulation-cell division (RND) antibiotic efflux pump
Drug Classaminocoumarin antibiotic, phenicol antibiotic, diaminopyrimidine antibiotic, tetracycline antibiotic, cephalosporin, fluoroquinolone antibiotic, macrolide antibiotic, penam
Resistance Mechanismantibiotic efflux
Efflux Componentefflux pump complex or subunit conferring antibiotic resistance
Efflux Regulatorprotein(s) and two-component regulatory system modulating antibiotic efflux
